Pottery Intensives
Introduction
Pottery Intensive workshops are a chance to immerse yourself in your own ceramics practice with one-on-one support and instruction while living ‘la dolce vita’ in Italy.
Techniques taught
The techniques taught depend entirely on where you are and what you’re interested in learning. Want to… Up your production skills? Learn to throw larger? Add options to your surface decoration? Refine your shapes? Get figurative? Blend handbuilding and throwing? … whatever your needs are, we can help you grow.
Teaching method
Before your intensive starts, we discuss where you are and where you want to go, and we establish a learning plan. Once onsite, each studio day involves demonstrations, exercises, one-on-one instruction, personal feedback, and critiques.
Prerequisites
In these intensives, previous experience with clay is very useful, but not necessary.
Logistics
Maximum 4 participants.
Cost 695€ includes meals, clay, and instruction. We help arrange accommodations, but are priced separately. Access to the studio is from 8 am - 8 pm.

June 10-14: Altered Forms; How to Master Darts, Facets, Ribs, & Paddles;
June 17 -21: Beginners Throwing: From Centering to Finishing
June 24-28: Cups Cups Cups; Mastering the Art of the Drinking

Build your own Intensive: Cost per studio day: 180€, minimum 3 days. Lodgings (either onsite, or locally) and meals are booked separately.
